Judge Emil Giordano was born in Brooklyn, New York and both of his parents were immigrants to this country from Italy. He was the first in his family to attend high school and is a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School He graduated from Moravian College in 1982 and Villanova Law School in 1985 .He was admitted to Bar of New York and PA. He practiced law in New York and PA and is frequent lecturer on various legal topics .He served as Adjunct Professor at Moravian College and DeSales University.


In 2003, he was elected to serve as Judge on the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. In 2017, the Pennsylvania Bar Association rated Judge Giordano, highly qualified to serve on Superior Court of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court named Judge Giordano to Statewide Orphans Court Task Force, the organization which is charged with implementing changes to Orphans Courts. In 2018 he retired from the bench and returned to private practice with a concentration on Mediation and Arbitration. He also completed the Advanced Mediator Program at Harvard Law School and is a fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.


A fifteen year career as a practicing attorney, primarily in litigation;fifteen years as a trial judge in the court of common pleas; now a successful Arbitrator/Mediator. As Judge, conducted countless jury and non-jury trials, hearings and motions, in broad range of disputes under Pennsylvania and Federal Law,including construction, commercial litigation, professional malpractice, CERCLA, Civil Rights, condemnations,labor and land use appeals, criminal and domestic relations. As an attorney, litigated major civil construction and commercial cases in Federal and state courts, with well over 20 jury trials; represented both organized labor and management in various disputes over the years.
